Congenital heart problems plague this breed so all OrchidFolds are screened for HCM by a Cardiologist and Certified prior to breeding. Folds also can have joint problems and arthritis so we are doing the best we can to try to avoid these problems in our line. Health and temperament are very important to us. Our goal at Orchidfolds Cattery is to eventually try to get the "Scottish Straight" excepted into the purebred cat associations because straight eared Folds are just as loving and beautiful as the folded eared cats and deserve to be recognized. | Welcome to ORCHIDFOLDS Cattery! We are a small, Family Owned and Operated Cattery located in Northern, CA. All of our cats live with us in our homes and have free roam of the house and are never kept in cages. We specialize in CFA/TICA registered Scottish Fold Cats and British Shorthairs. Our first Folds came to us from our good friend Peggy Roberts DVM and Family, of Pegken's Scottish Folds. We would like to thank Peggy for allowing us to be a part of this wonderful breed of purebred cats. Our Folds are beautiful and have the most loving, curious personalities. They also have the softest, most plush coats you will ever feel. Our Folds come in a wide variety of colors and all have that gorgeous round head and large, stunning owl eyes whether or not their ears are straight or folded.
